Kachkin & Partners protected interests of an architectural-design bureau during its client’s bankruptcy process
The bankrupted construction company's debt to Kachkin & Partners' client, architectural bureau "A. Len", appeared in 2006. This company was a contractor in construction of St. Petersburg new sea passenger terminal, designed by the specialists of the architectural bureau. The bankruptcy process started in 2010, but the bureau's participation was only nominal. One of the creditors controlled the bankruptcy process for his own hand.
Corporate and Dispute Resolution team at Kachkin & Partners guided by Kirill Saskov, Partner, managed to organize joint actions of the rest of the creditors and turn events around, prevent the attempts to sell the bankrupt's property in favor of a presumptively malevolent creditor. Thanks to the specialists' competent operations the ways of reducing the dominating creditor's role in the process were found; there had been created a threat to positions of the dominating creditor and a number of affiliated persons included in the register as well.
