Denis Kachkin discussed the lessons of 10 years of experience in law firm management at the plenary session of the X Annual IBA Law Firm Management Conference

Moscow hosted the anniversary conference of the International Bar Association (IBA) “Law Firm Management» — a large-scale event in the legal services market and a unique platform to discuss issues of the legal business, bringing together around 200 executives and specialized managers of law firms around the globe.

This year all the partners of Kachkin & Partners visited the conference – Denis Kachkin, Managing Partner, Head of Infrastructure and PPP Practice, Kirill Saskov, Partner, Head of Corporate and Dispute Resolution Practice and Dmitry Nekrestyanov, Partner, Head of Real Estate and Investments Practice – and Polina Kachkina, COO of Kachkin & Partners.

The event held lively debates on the following issues: negotiation of fees with clients; choice of firms’ merging strategy or separation of business units into independent companies; a national law firm’s conversion into an international one; recommendations to managing partners on improving the profitability of law firms; successful partners’ behavior in modern law firms; benefits of «niche» companies and etc.

Denis Kachkin reported during the plenary session «The lessons we have learned in Law Firm Management within last 10 years», presenting the strategy of the legal services market development in the regions of Russia to the audience, and also identifying the key stages of «Kachkin & Partners» formation.
