Kachkin & Partners reached the cancellation of Architectural and Art Regulations of Nevsky prospekt which had set some unjustified limitations
Saint-Petersburg city court found that Architectural and Art Regulations of Nevsky prospekt, thу main avenue in St. Petersburg, and surrounding area, which was accepted by the Committee for Architecture and Urban Development, contradicts to federal and regional legislation. The Regulation established requirements for buildings’ facades, news-stalls placement, restaurants’ and cafes`summer terraces, outdoor advertising and lightning on the main street of Saint-Petersburg. Most of the requirements contradicted to the other regulatory legal acts.
By a decision as of 28th of August the Saint-Petersburg city court disabled Architectural and Art Regulations of Nevsky prospekt in full.
It should be mentioned that this decision became the second victory of Kachkin & Partners at confrontation against Architectural and Art Regulations in Saint-Petersburg. Earlier an Architectural and Art Regulations of water infrastructure objects, which had set additional limitations concerning Neva water area, was declared illegal.
