Kachkin & Partners at the annual forum “Legal year of 2013 review: laws and business”
«Kommersant» in St. Petersburg organized this traditional event for the branch within the walls of the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg State University for the fifth time already. During the forum market professionals assessed the main legislative changes of the past year, shared their prognosis concerning the changes of the upcoming year and their influence on business.
The Legal Forum is a place for the effective communication between experts of the leading consulting companies, heads and corporate lawyers of the largest Russian and international industrial companies, trade networks, investment firms of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, representatives of the state authorities, public organizations and associations.
Alexey Chichkanov, the Executive Vice-President of «Gazprombank», and Maksim Efimov, the General Director of «Kommersant» publishing house in St. Petersburg, moderated the discussion.
At the event the participants discussed such important and topical aspects of the legal sphere as nuances of M&A transactions, innovations in the field of fraud counteraction, bankruptcy issues, regulation of PPP in the implementation of infrastructure projects, etc.
Denis Kachkin, the Managing Partner of Kachkin & Partners, and Kirill Saskov, Partner, Head of Corporate and Dispute Resolution Practice at Kachkin & Partners, took part in the forum summing up the legal results of the year. During the plenary session Kirill commented on the integration of the Russian Supreme Court and the Russian Supreme Commercial Court and Denis talked on the competition at St. Petersburg legal services market. Kirill also named the trends and standards of M&A transactions and answered multiple questions of visitors at one of the parallel round tables.
