Protecting the interests of an architectural-design bureau during its contractor’s bankruptcy process
The bankrupted construction company’s debt to our client, architectural bureau «A. Len», appeared in 2006 and by the moment of Kachkin & Partners’ lawyers entering the process amounted to RUB 3.6 mln. The bankruptcy process started in 2010, but our client’s participation was only nominal. One of the creditors controlled the bankruptcy process for his own hand.
Kachkin & Partners’ lawyers managed to organize joint actions of the rest of the creditors and turn events around, prevent the attempts to sell the bankrupt’s property in favor of a presumptively malevolent creditor. Thanks to the specialists’ competent operations the ways of reducing the dominating creditor’s role in the process were found. As a result, the debt to our client was bought out by one of the creditors, the sum covering the client’s expenses for the legal services.
