Dmitry Nekrestyanov will reveal the hinders preventing the aparthotels expansion in the panel discussion “Rental housing: format details”
The event organized by Guild of Managers and Developers in partnership with Pioneer Group and Holiday Inn Saint Petersburg, and supported by Expert North-West will be held on June 6th in St. Petersburg.
The experts in the field of development and hotel business will exchange opinions on whether it is effective to involve private investors in the rental housing construction; whether commercial apartment buildings will be able to solve the problem of providing the economically disadvantaged population with housing and will try to figure out how to organize the interaction of government and business for the institution of rental housing development. With the help from lawyers the discussion’s participants will define what the terms «aparthotel» and «commercial apartment building» stand for, what laws and other acts rule the construction and operation of such objects and what is necessary to be changed in the legislation for further expansion of this market segment.

He will talk on the problems arising because of the lack of terms secured in legislation, absence of privileges for the rental housing construction investors and tell how the program of housing privatization prevents the segment’s development.
