Defending Siyanie CJSC, construction company contracted for construction of the Courtyard by Marriott Hotels, in a litigation dispute
By the time of addressing our firm, the client had already gone through two court proceedings (the first one and the appeal), whereby both rulings were not in his favor.
Kachkin & Partners were able to develop a new court strategy for the cassation proceedings, and to convince the court of cassation to recommence the court investigation. A negative and faulty position had unfortunately developed in the previous court proceedings, was thereby successfully surmounted. Case was reopened and the final court decision was made in favour of our client.
The claim to our client, which amounted to RUR 51 million (more than USD 1.7 million), was rejected.
