Legal advice in the protection of the interests of computer games developer operating in the social media sphere
Kachkin and Partners lawyers performed a legal analysis of the relationship between the copyright holder of the well-known computer game «Sladkaya Zavarushka» and the leading company responsible for the promotion of computer games and applications on social networks.
Upon the request of the client, we performed a legal analysis of the service contract, which dealt with distribution services of the game in the social network «Vkontakte», as well as services that provide a guarantee to deliver an increase in the volume of users installing the game, and also advertising and consulting services for the game developer.
As a result, the body of the contract was significantly modified to include more flexible and practically applicable legal constructions, and provisions of the contract were brought into compliance with the legislation.
In addition, Kachkin & Partners identified the legal risks connected with the use of specific wording within the contract, and developed ideas to reduce these risks.
