Representing St. Petersburg Guild of Designers and Architects in a slander litigation
Defending the client against a developer taking issue with a publication in “Architectural Petersburg” (Arhitekturnyi Peterburg), a monthly journal for professional audience published by the client. The developer has put forth a claim for the protection of his business reputation due to the journal bringing forth information about the city’s refusal of the plaintiff’s construction project.
Our involvement included developing the strategy for defending the interests of the client. We not only successfully defended the interests of the client, but did so in just one hearing, which is quite rare in the court system of the Russian Federation. The plaintiff (developer) has since appealed the decision. (Cost of RUB 5M).
