Denis Kachkin performed at the round table devoted to PPP role in the development of innovation potential of St. Petersburg held at Saint Petersburg International Innovation Forum 2014
The «Expert North-West» magazine held the round-table discussion «Development of innovation potential of St. Petersburg via interaction between authorities, higher educational institutions and production clusters in the format of private-public partnership (PPP)» at Saint Petersburg International Innovation Forum 2014. The event was devoted to the combination of various innovative resources of the region including public programs, industrial parks of higher educational institutions and clusters for the increase of its competitiveness. Denis Kachkin, the Managing Partners at Kachkin & Partners, performed as a speaker at the round table.
Among most discussed issues of the event there were the programs of public support for innovative and production clusters’ development in St. Petersburg and their possible adjustment, ways of the most effective application of resources of higher educational institutions and productions for the purpose of increasing the volume of innovative output focused on import substitution, PPP projects’ development for innovative and production clusters, banks and other investment institutions’ participation in financing the innovation-oriented PPP projects.
Denis Kachkin spoke on the possible legal mechanisms of implementation of educational clusters projects and projects of industrial productions’ relocation. He also noticed the key project risks and the public partner’s role in such projects and presented PPP as the optimal risk management mechanism.
Heads of field-oriented city committees and higher educational institutions, managers of top organizations in the spheres of medicine, industrial equipment and modern technologies, leaders of competent associations and representatives of banks and consulting companies took part at the round table.
