Denis Kachkin performed with a speech at the IV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum
The IV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum took place on June 18-21, 2014. Denis Kachkin, the Managing Partner of Kachkin & Partners, participated as a delegate and a speaker in it. He performed with a speech: «Life cycle contracts vs. concession. How successful may be an attempt to spread the public procurement legislation on the traditional PPP form? The comparison of models and perspectives of application of LCC in the Russian economics».
The Forum has been held since 2011 by the Ministry of Justice, and it is supported by the President of the Russian Federation. It has already recommended itself as a place for the meeting of experts of the international legal community and also political, economical, scientific and cultural spheres in order to discuss topical issues of law and business areas which encompass the social and economical challenges worldwide.
The IV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum’s programme consisted of the Plenary Session and discussion sessions organized into thematic tracks according to key legal specializations.
On June 18 «Gazprombank» OJSC organized the discussion «Legal models of infrastructure investments: classics and new instruments» in the framework of the section «Finance / Investments / International Projects». During his performance the Managing Partner of Kachkin & Partners Denis Kachkin spoke on what life cycle contracts differ from concessional agreements, analyzed how successful may an attempt to spread the public procurement legislation on the traditional PPP form be, compared the models and assessed the perspectives of applying LCC in the Russian economics.
Moreover, on June 19 «Gazprombank» OJSC also held the satellite event «Legal support to business under global changes in regulations», and Denis Kachkin attended that one as well. The business breakfast format of the event allowed colleagues to share their experience on the legal consulting of companies’ activity in view of the global tendencies in legal regulation and to build useful contacts and hold necessary talks.
Representatives of all legal specializations, public officials, businessmen, and members of educational and socio-cultural institutions were invited to participate in the IV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.
In keeping with tradition, not only business but a rich and unique cultural programme was designed for the Forum’s delegates.
