Denis Kachkin represented Russia at the 33rd IBA International Financial Law Conference
The 33rd International Financial Law Conference, organized by the IBA Banking Law Committee and IBA Securities Law Committee and supported by the IBA European Regional Forum took place in Athens. The Managing Partner of Kachkin & Partners Denis Kachkin participated in the conference being the only representative from Russia at this three-day event. Besides this conference is the first to be attended by Denis Kachkin as the officer of the IBA Banking Law Committee.
Over 260 delegates from all over the world – experts working at the banking sector, financial industry, as well as lawyers practicing in this sphere – discussed current trends related to capital market transactions, and also such important for the field questions as changes in legislative regulation and their implementation; sovereign debt and bank restructuring; overall banks’ role due to the growing influence of shadow banking and alternative ways of financing and etc. Athens was chosen as the place of the event on purpose – lots of legal problems were touched upon also in the framework of the Greek debt crisis.
