Kachkin & Partners at the round table «PPP projects in health care»
On November 8-9, 2013 XV International Research Conference «Public Sector Transition» was organized at the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University by Association for Studies in Public Economics (ASPE). During this conference the round table «PPP projects in health care» was held as well.
The event started with a video message to the participants made by Maksim Sokolov, the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Head of Public Administration Department of St. Petersburg State University Graduate School of Management. The speakers talked on such issues as verifying definitions, identifying the object and the subject of PPP, and the PPP projects as strategic element of regional health care development. Representatives of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region public authorities competent in PPP and health care, professors of higher educational institutions, managers of commercial medical organizations, experts of consulting companies and students and graduates of «Health care management» course at St. Petersburg State University Graduate School of Management took part in the discussion.
In his performance Denis Kachkin, the Managing Partner of Kachkin & Partners, touched upon the forms of current medical and preventive organizations involvement into market relations and pointed out the main risks connected with concessive projects implementation in health care.
