Maria Skryabina took part in the round table “PPP development in the Leningrad region – new opportunities for infrastructure projects implementation”
The newspaper «Construction Weekly. The Leningrad region» organized the round table «PPP development in the Leningrad region – new opportunities for infrastructure projects implementation». Representatives of the regional executive bodies, heads of development and construction companies, law firms, market analysts took part at the event.
The key topics for discussion were the following:
• the regional authorities work on development and implementation of the PPP mechanism at the region’s territory;
• the interaction of federal, regional and municipal bodies in planning and implementing the PPP projects, legislation harmonization;
• problems with financing attraction for the implementation of infrastructure projects using the PPP mechanism, banks’ requirements and budget regulation, ways of decreasing money value in PPP projects;
• the role of PPP in solving infrastructure problems of the region, opportunities of applying the PPP mechanism in development of the road and transport infrastructure, health care, housing and communal services projects.
Maria Skryabina, Infrastructure and PPP Associate at Kachkin & Partners, took active part in the round table and drew the audience’ attention to the practical side of the issue by giving the example of the project on reconstruction of current and construction of new buildings of a medical complex located on the territory of Kommunar for creating the Regional medical rehabilitation centre on the PPP basis.
