Social infrastructure in Leningrad region begins to develop actively according to the PPP model
Thus, a new sports complex will be built in Gatchina, a concession agreement on its construction has been signed 21 July by the Governor of Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko and the General Director of the “Pool GAT” company Natalia Bogomaz.
The sports complex will be equipped with three swimming pools: a sports one (with spectator stands), a wellness swimming pool and a children’s one, also there will be four sports halls. According to the project documentation, the cost of a swimming complex with a total area of not less than 8.7 thousand square meters will be more than 600 million rubles. The projection and construction of the facility will take place from 2018 to 2020, the exploitation by the concessionaire is calculated until 2037.
Denis Kachkin, Managing Partner, Head of Infrastructure and PPP Practice of Kachkin & Partners, noted: “Construction of this sports complex will be the second social project in Leningrad Region after the reconstruction of a “Regional Medical Rehabilitation Center” in the town of Kommunar.
